Lavender Salts was an ancient medicine found in old pharmacopeias, known for its stimulating properties. The combined pungent order of ammonia and fresh lavender stimulates the senses. Historically they were used as a remedy for fainting or as a stimulant. In fact, these salts with their scent stimulate a reflex inhalation that causes the breathing muscles to contract faster. It is an ancient remedy that is no longer used today except to take a leap into the past.
Warning: Use with caution. For external use. For smelling only; do not ingest. Keep out of reach of children. Store tightly closed in a cool place.
Very useful for when you're stuffed up, have a headache or are just feeling like you can't get enough air. Also useful for reminding your body to breathe well if you're not doing great mentally, though any strongly scented thing would do this.
Do be careful to not get it on your hands or nostrils. I like to hold a cotton wool pad over the bottle opening, as it makes it easier to inhale deeply, but even this you should avoid touching.
